Our Missionary Goals:

1. People of Prayer: “The Prayer Warriors”
   1. We are people that realize that the whole aspect of our society must be rooted always and forever in Christ.Just as Saint Clare holds the Monstrance of the holy Eucharist, we too must hold the Eucharist with conviction and love.Therefore, we are people of the Eucharist and people of prayer.
   2. We offer a commitment to pray daily for the following:
      1. The prayer intentions of the people of God in our local community, most especially from the parish prayer chain line from our website.
      2. The conversion of the sinner and those that left the church
      3. Spend qualified time with the word, the mass, and or the Eucharistic Lord.
      4. If daily mass is not possible, we ask that you offer a prayer daily to Jesus through the intercession of Saint Clare to guide, lead, and direct our hearts to Christ as a Christian Community.
2. People of Service:“Service Leaders”
   1. The work we do is never about us or about how we look or are viewed by the world.The work we do is and must always be rooted from prayer through Christ for the glory of Christ and his servant Saint Clare.Therefore, our group holds to its heart the missionary zeal of Christ, “He has sent me to proclaim the good news to the poor”.Poverty is both financial and spiritual.
   2. We are the laity that will witness to our local society the meaning of being Happy in the Lord.This will require only speaking the good others need to hear as a way of uplifting them.Encouraging volunteerism no matter how great and or small. Being positive and working well with others.
3. People of action:
   1. Saying we love the Lord is one thing, living our lives for the Lord is another thing.We commit ourselves to helping, to volunteering, to being a witness of Catholic Christian Ideals to our families, our friends, and our local community.
   2. Promoting activities within the parish life…. Speaking about our faith relationship to the local area….helping with volunteer efforts that helps to promote the wellness of the parish community and or local charities.
   3. To voice concerns and positive suggestions on how we can “shine” more within the local community.
   4. To organize volunteer opportunities with the poor and needy of our society.Our goal is to always find newer and creative ways to reach out and to be a parish.We always appreciate the past, but we are people that move “forward with the Lord” and have a willingness to change and do newer things.
      
4. People that accept the gifts of others… no matter how large or small.
   1. Volunteerism is key in making a parish grow.Getting involved in the various activities sponsored by the parish as well as groups associated with the parish.
   2. Aid in fundraising activities.
   3. Aid in parish social events.
   4. Aid in helping the needs of the local community.
      
      
      Here are some suggestions to get us started:
      
5. To develop a group of willing parishioners that will lead our “Prayer Warriors”. They will pray for the intentions of parishioners that come from the parish prayer line… they will organize spiritual activities with the Pastor, they will also help with the decorations of the church for major holidays.
6. To develop a group of willing parishioners that are HAPPY and willing to meet and greet people as they enter the Mass on Sunday.This group will be asked to show up to Mass 15 minutes earlier to say good morning, welcome, and meet the people with a smile.
7. The task of cleaning is also a ministry.People tend to pray better is a clean and organized church.The Church cleaners will be available to clean twice a month in the church on a Saturday morning after the mass (Unless there is a funeral or special event or state of emergency).This will also include upkeep of flowers and or plants.
8. The monthly coffee end group:This group will organize a coffee end after one the Masses on Sunday (One month it will be after the 8am, the other, 10, and still other 12, and 5pm Saturday). This can be every third Sunday.

10. People of creativity with marketing, making fliers, taking pictures, and updating the website with all the activities we are doing.

4. The Simbang Gabi Novena for Christmas.
5. Many Social Events of the Holy Name Society.

What does a meeting involve?

A Meeting will be held monthly: Some will be social events, others will be prayer events, and some business events throughout the year.
The way a meeting is organized:

1. As a group we say the prayer of Saint Clare listed below
   1. Quiet time and offer by name prayers of those that asked for our prayers
   2. Prayers for those that recently died in the community or from family and friends.
2. Old Business of the group:Group leader reports; evaluations of activities, concerns of the programs
3. New Business of the group and the Presentations of parish and community needs
4. Concerns/ feedback/ fellowship
5. Conclude with two Hail Mary Prayers for the conversion of sinners and the priests of the parish.

God of mercy,
you inspired Saint Clare with the love of poverty.
By the help of her prayers
may we follow Christ in poverty of spirit
and come to the joyful vision of your glory
in the Kingdom of heaven.
We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
